In our lives we are faced with many decisions

In our lives we are confronted with numerous choices. In certain choices we are given explicit charges to follow when making them. Marriage is one of the choices. Maybe one of the most significant choices we will make is picking the individual we will spend the rest of our lives with. This isn't a choice that ought to be messed with. As Christians, we have certain things we should think about when settling on that choice. God has provided explicit orders to both the couple in regards to how they are to treat one another and their jobs in the marriage relationship. The present society has paid no consideration regarding the jobs of the couple, yet we, as Christians, have the Bible to allude to when we are confounded concerning what part we play in our marriage. God has explicitly said that the spouse is to be the leader of the family unit. The man is the head over his better half, similarly as Christ was head over the congregation (Ephesians 5:23).
